The jet lag rule of thumb is that, eastbound, it takes one day to recover per time zone crossed, while going westward, it’s half-a-day per time zone.

Sea-level relative humidity is considered comfortable at 40-70%. On planes, relative humidity can drop to 2-3%. Therefore, drinking water isn’t enough; consider bringing skin lotion and lip balms, too.

A 2015 study found that switching the cushion of an economy class seat with a business class cushion reduced whole body vibration 17% during takeoff, 21% in landing, and 18% while cruising.
