Privacy Policy

Your privacy is incredibly important to us.

This policy is for ashleymerryman.com, subscribers of The Sherwood Report newsletter, and recipients of occasional other notices about Ashley Merryman’s work (such as new writings and/or events). The Sherwood Report is a free newsletter typically sent out on a monthly basis.

Information collected on this website will never be sold, rented or otherwise made public or distributed for third party’s use unless required by law.

Data Collected

This site uses cookies and analytics to understand how you use the site, to determine what is of interest to site visitors, and how to give you information that you find valuable.

Beyond that, we collect information that you voluntarily consent to share with us (such as an email address) in order to contact Ashley Merryman or subscribe to one of our newsletters.

If you submit an email address or other information, you consent to us storing that information. Your consent includes giving us permission to transfer that data between local computer server storage units and/or, if necessary, to a third-party vendor—again solely for record keeping and portability.

We will continue to retain your email information on file as we continue to maintain this domain, newsletters and other work that we believe is of interest to you.

Your Rights to the Data

You can unsubscribe from The Sherwood Report or any other direct mailing from us at anytime. To unsubscribe, simply send an email with “Unsubscribe” in the email subject line.

You can also, at any time, ask (verbally or in writing) for your name and all related information to be removed.

For both unsubscribe and removal requests, we will typically comply within 28 days. If we need more time for a particular request, we will let you know the reason for the delay and an expected date of removal.

If we become aware of a data breach, we will notify all of those affected parties as soon as practicable.

Children Under the Age of 16

Children under the age of 16 must have a parent’s or other guardian’s approval prior to contacting us or subscribing: parents or guardians must first submit a request /notice on the children’s behalf. If children contact us without this prior approval (We sincerely apologize, Kids!), we will limit our response to a request for the parent/guardian consent.

Ongoing Process

This policy is in accordance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation. However, we reserve the right to review, change and update this policy, and we may audit data, in light of relevant changes in EU and United States law, as well as in the interests of how we may deliver the information to you in the best possible way.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the privacy policy, you may contact us through the contact page.
